The family of
Charles “Chuck” William Poler, Jr., has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Chuck Poler, 65, served his country in the US Navy from 1970 to 1974, time that included service in Vietnam. At the time of his honorable discharge he had attained the rank of E-4, Petty Officer 3rd Class.
After his service, Chuck worked as an Engineer at Qualcomm for 23 years.
Chuck is survived by his wife Judi Poler, son Joseph Poler, daughter JoAnna Smith-Bloom and 5 grandchildren.
Chuck will be forever remembered by those who had the honor of knowing him, for his love of God, his wife and riding. Chuck’s friend Erwin shared “We’ll be hard pressed to come across a more decent human being”.
Charles was a one time member of the PGR and an avid motorcyclist. There will be a motorcycle procession to the cemetery led by his friend Erwin accompanied by his several of his riding buddies.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
