Please see the updated Time Table below.

Note: This is Part 1 of a 2-part mission.   Part 2 will be burial in Ventura with Times/Dates TBD.

Part 1.

The family of Electronics Technician (Communications) Petty Officer 1st Class Walter James Torres Jr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

ETN1 Walter Torres, 25, served his country in the US Navy for 6+ years.   He was a submariner stationed aboard the Los Angeles-class nuclear powered submarine USS San Francisco (SSN-711) homeported in Norfolk, Virginia.

The family has requested we meet this hero’s incoming flight and accompany him and family from LAX to his hometown of Ventura, a distance of approximately 67 miles.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying this hero and his family from the airport to the mortuary. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there.
