The family of Earl Rider, 90, has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the service of their loved one and to honor this American Hero; we are honored to do so.

Mr. Rider served in the Merchant Marines and U.S. Coast Guard, as a Machinist Mate, from May 1941 until May 1946 and then again during the Korean Conflict.  When on shore, in Liverpool, England, he met his future wife, Mary 'Maureen' McGrath.   Married for 57 years they raised their three children Mark, Patricia and Martina.  They, in turn, gave them four grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Paige and Luc.

In civilian life he worked in various companies as a Facilities Engineer in the Southern California area finally retiring in Camarillo.

We will stand a flag line before and after the memorial service.
