The family of Lieutenant Colonel Gene E. Bauberbam has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

LtCol Gene Bauberbam, 83, proudly served his country for 26 years in the United States Marine Corps.  A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was the commanding officer of the 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division.   Gene was a leader, and he brought his battalion home from Vietnam.

After his honorable discharge, Gene became a salesman of mist coolers for ranchers. His biggest hobby was hunting; he loved to hunt deer, hogs, bear, etc.

Gene is survived by his wife Patty, his daughter Karen and his son Brandt.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero from the family home to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
