The family of Jason Andrew Hartley have asked the Patriot Guard Riders to pay Honors on their hero's final journey home. It will be our honor to do so.

Jason was 34 years old at the time of his death. He was born on July 30, 1984 and passed on August 14, 2018.

Jason served in the California Air National Guard from  May 2003 - June 2004, as an Air Transportation Apprentice on C130 aircraft.  He requested a transfer to the United States Army, and served from June 2005 - October 2006.  He earned his “Jump Wings”, and was assigned to the 509th Infantry Regiment at Fort Polk, Louisiana, part of the Joint Readiness Training Center. While there he was trained and served as an Infantryman and trained Soldiers preparing for operations overseas.

Among his awards were the Air Force Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Expert Rifle Badge, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.  Jason's rank at the time of his discharge was Specialist 4th Class.

After the service, Jason worked as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sherriff at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility.

Jason is survived by his parents Rick and Lori, brothers Matthew and Michael, children Jason and Emma.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
