The family of SFC Frederick Kiefer has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor this American hero, it will be our honor to do so.

Fred Kiefer was born 8 NOV 1942, and entered eternal rest 16 DEC 2013.  He was a 20+ year Army veteran with the Army's 82nd Airborne Division serving one tour in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was also a drill sergeant for 9 years and was awarded two Meritorious Service medals.

Following his retirement from the Army, Fred worked as a truck driver and corrections officer. He was an avid motorcycle rider making many long distance runs on his HD. His son, Soloman, is an avid motorcycle rider also.

SFC Kiefer is survived by his wife Elsie, two children, Solomon and Jo-Anna, and three grandchildren.

Following the service, there will be a reception at Percy Park, 9333 E. Ave, Hesperia, CA at 0230, which the family has extended an invitation to all PGR riders.  Map: https://goo.gl/maps/orQlv

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
