The family of Officer Antwan DeArvis Toney invites the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for his funeral services.  We are honored to accept this invitation.

Antwan was born 17 OCT 88, in Inglewood, CA.  Growing up Antwan served as a Boy Scout, Police Cadet and the Orange County Police Explorers Program.  Antwan was in the 2006 graduating class at El Modena High School in the City of Orange, CA.  Antwan had a strong belief in Christ and was a faithful church member. He loved helping others and working with young children.

Antwan always had a deep desire to be a police officer.  His dream came true when in 2016 Antwan received notice that the Gwinnett Police Department in Georgia was offering him a position. Antwan graduated from the Gwinnett Police Department’s 94th Academy class on 21 APR 16.

On 20 OCT 18, at approximately 1500 hrs, Officer Toney responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle.  As he and his partner approached the vehicle shots were fired from the vehicle mortally wounding Officer Toney.

On Wednesday, October 24, 2018 a memorial service was held in Georgia which PGR attended, Officer Toney was received here in So Calif by PGR for our Part 1 mission, we will now be there to honor him for his interment service.

Officer Toney is survived by his mother, Antoinette Page; father Anthony Toney; step-father, Carl Johnson; sisters, Sherharazzar Johnson, Carla Johnson, brother Dartangan Johnson (Whitney) and Grandfather, Frank Toney.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
