The family of Steel Worker Petty Officer 3rd Class Curtis Fitzherbert Adams has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

SW3 Curtis Adams, 21, of Brooklyn, New York, was a first generation American whose parents immigrated to America from the West Indies.  Curtis comes from a proud military family; his father, brother, uncle and cousin are all military men.  Following in their footsteps Curtis enlisted in the US Navy in 2016 and was a steelworker with Amphibious Construction Battalion 1, Naval Amphibious Base Coronado.

Curtis could have kept driving after spotting what he believed to be a stranded motorist on the shoulder of Interstate 15 in the early morning hours of Saturday, 27 October.   But he didn’t.  Instead, Curtis, who family say was always thinking of others, pulled over to try and help, a decision that cost him his life.  In a senseless act of violence, he was fatally shot moments after getting out of his car.  An investigation is ongoing.

The family has requested the PGR honor this hero as he begins his final journey home.  The PGR in New York has been notified and is working on a mission there.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying this hero from the mortuary to the airport. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
