The family of
HMC(SW) Antonio Trinidad Gonzalez, USN (Ret) has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor him for his service to our country. It would be our honor to do so.
A native of Mangatarem, the Republic of the Philippines, HMC Antonio Gonzalez entered the Navy in 1973 as a Hospital Corpsman and served until his retirement, January 31, 1994. During his 21-year career, HMC Gonzalez became an Independent Duty Corpsman (IDC), serving for over 7 years in this capacity. During Operation Desert Storm, HMC Gonzalez was attached to 1st Medical Battalion, 1st FSSG, 1st MARDIV, Camp Pendleton, California.
Antonio’s awards included the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy E Ribbon, Navy Good Conduct Medal (5 awards), Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, National Defense Medal (2 awards), Southwest Asia Service Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Navy Rifle Marksmanship Medal, Navy Pistol Marksmanship Medal.
Antonio is survived by his spouse, 3 children, and 3 grandchildren.
This will be a Combat Related mission as our hero’s passing was directly related to his exposure to the acrid smoke from the burning oil fields left behind as Saddam’s forces vacated Kuwait.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be providing a Flag Line as this hero receives his Final Honors. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
