The family of Rosendo Blanco “Tino” Millan has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Tino Millan, 99, served his country proudly in the US Army.  He was attached to Company D, 17th Infantry Regiment in the Asiatic Pacific Theater from Sept 1941 to Oct 1945.  A member of the Greatest Generation, Tino fought in the battles and campaigns of the Aleutian Islands, Eastern Mandates, Luzon, Southern Philippines and Ryukyus.  For his service he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal.

As a teenager, Tino played Semi-Professional Baseball in San Diego, playing for the Cramer's Bakery team; Cramer’s was the 1935 City League Championship team.  In his post military career, he worked in the Plastering field as his family had a contracting business.

Tino is survived by his daughter Liz Millan-Wilder, brother Paul Millan, and 2 grandchildren.
