The family of Engineman Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Wayne Taylor (Ret) has invited the Patriot Guard Rides to be present to honor their hero for his service.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Michael Taylor, 58, served his country in the United States Navy for 20 years (1980 to 2000).  Michael served in the Gulf War in both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield.

For 20 years honorable service Michael was awarded the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal; Navy/Marine Corps Achievement (3), Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, USCG Meritorious Unit Commendation; Navy “E” Ribbon, 5 Good Conduct; Navy Expeditionary Medal, Defense Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal (2), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (6); Navy/Marine Corps Overseas Service (3) and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.

Michael loved sports including the Dallas Cowboys.  He also loved fishing, supporting his children and their accomplishments, family gatherings as well as joking and laughing with family and friends.  He is survived by his wife, 6 children, 6 grandchildren, his mother and his brother.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be standing a Flag Line for Final Honors.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
