The family of Jeffrey Lee Boyd Sr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his final Military Honors. It will be our honor and privilege to do so.

Jeffrey was born on March 6, 1928 in Nevada, Missouri. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, OK in 1944 and enlisted in the United States Navy early in 1945.

Jeffrey was assigned to the recently formed Seabees and served alongside US Marines in the push to Japan and rose to the rank of Petty Officer First Class.

After his honorable discharge in 1954, Jeffrey joined the Ventura County Sheriff’s department as a Deputy in 1956. He enjoyed a successful 30 year career with this department, serving his community prior to his retirement.

Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoyed listening to music, gardening, motorcycling, boating, fishing and good food.

Jeffrey was married to the love of his life, Helen, for 67 years. She predeceased Jeffrey in 2015.  He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Lee Boyd Jr. and his daughter, Susan (Boyd) Springer, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
