The family of Richard F Vejar, age 78, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany him and his family to his final resting place, we would be honored to do so.

Richard Vejar was inducted into the US Army on April 18, 1967 and served in Vietnam, he had attained the rank of SP4 by the time he received his honorable discharge on April 8, 1969. He received several awards and medals including a Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

After serving his country in the military Richard worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for over 42 years before retirement.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Patricia, daughter Angie, sons Jason and Richard, and 8 grandchildren.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place, approx 5 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
