The family of Don Anthony Young (69) have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Don for his Military Service to our great country.  It is our honor to do so.

Don served in the United States Air force from 11 Dec 1970 to 02 Feb 1972.  He was A1C ranking at his honorable discharge and was awarded the Air Force Basic Training Ribbon

After his service Don worked at the Post Office for about 6 years and then as an auto mechanic for the balance of his life. Don was well liked and well known for his automotive skills.  He loved family gatherings, Kung Fu Theater on Saturday, Gladiator Reunions and being around his friends.

Don was preceded in death by an sister Linda Benjamin, but is survived by his brother Gregory Young. Children LaDonna Moor, Donyetta Hamm, Don Young II, Shanise A. Young, Haji Young and Viola Young. Don is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

We honor Don Anthony Young for his service to our country and ask that you honor his life by keeping his memory alive.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place, approx 21 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

If you cannot accompany this Hero please consider meeting us at the entrance of the Cemetery with a flag line as the hero arrives.

1230 - Mission briefing

1245 - Flag Line for dignified transfer to coach.

1250 - KSU for departure to Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard,Riverside, CA 92518 https://goo.gl/maps/tMFQWrQTkNpuU4sR6

1330 - Estimated arrival to Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 4.

1345 - Accompany family to assigned shelter for services.  PGR will continue and depart cemetery per current COVID-19 cemetery guidelines.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
