The family of TSgt Thomas M. Russo has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the services and military honors for their Hero, it would be our privilege to do so.
TSgt Thomas M. Russo enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1970 and served for 38 years during Vietnam and Desert Shield and retired in April, 2008.
Tom or 'Duck' as some of his friends called him, loved riding his motorcycle and was very involved in several motorcycle related events, but the one closest to his heart was an annual run in the city of Loma Linda called "One More from the Heart", a run to a disabled children's home, where donated comfort items are taken to make the lives of the children a little brighter and more comfortable. He involved many of his friends throughout the motorcycle community in this charity over the years.
Tom is survived by his wife Darlene, his daughter Melissa Evans, son-in-law Dan Evans, 3 grandchildren, and many, many friends. He will be missed.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the chapel services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
Please arrive quietly as service will be in progress. Please stay hydrated as the weather is expected to be warm and sunny.Time table for Wednesday, 30 APR 14: 1030 - Stage at Akes Funeral Home, 9695 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
