As many mission as we do, we often get emails or text of appreciation from the families. But I had never received one for our missions in which we are accompanying our hero from the mortuary to the airport. I know that this is due to the fact that the family is not traveling with them. The family is always waiting for his/her arrival at their home town. But I have done a few where the family was here and traveled with their love one. Today we had such a mission. US Marine Capt Douglas Richardson with his wife and two children plus the CACO and another Marine officer. I just now received a text from the CACO:
This came from U.S. Marine CACO Major Hinton.
"Thank you! You all made that departure very special for the family!"
I also want to include my "Thank You" to all of you that showed up early this morning despite of the bad weather. What we do does make a difference to the family and they noticed it this morning. I am very proud to ride with all of you.
