The family and the US Army have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for their Hero, SPC Tyler A. Portanova, 25, for his funeral services, we will be honored to do so.
Tyler enlisted in the US Army and was serving as a Practical Vocational Nurse at Ft Irwin Army Base until his unexpected passing. He had achieved the rank of Specialist.
Tyler was born on December 22, 1995, in Camarillo, California to Armando and Diane Portanova. He graduated from Coalinga High School and continued his education at California State University in Fresno.
Tyler at a young age began watching the New England Patriots and they became his football team for all time. Tom Brady was his idol. He loved sports both playing and watching them. Tyler loved to cook, the outdoors, fishing, hiking, the beach and mountains. He had many friends throughout his life. All who knew Tyler loved and respected him and he them.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Armando and Diane Portanova of Coalinga, CA; sisters, Robin Meyer of Oklahoma and Emily Portanova of Coalinga, CA; soul mate, Alexa Maes; his pet and best buddy “Kida”, and many aunts. uncles and cousins.

For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero from the church to the cemetery. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to cemetery we will see you there.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
