The Family of Robert (Bob) Leo Kosten Jr, 64, USA, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the service of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It is our honor to do so.

Bob was born 29 December 1956 and passed away 11 April 2011 after a long fight with Leukemia.

Bob proudly served in the US Army from 30 September 1979 until he retired 30 September 2007 as a Sergeant First Class/Motor Sergeant (E-7). While in the Army he served in Lebanon (1982-1983), Panama (1989-1990), Persian Gulf (1990-1991), Somalia (1993) and Afghanistan (2001, 2003-2004). Bob earned numerous medals and ribbons throughout his military career.

After his Army career, Bob drove semi tractor trailers for Prime Inc. before opening his own company, Kosten Transportation, owning three semi tractor trailers. His dog, Daisy, was his riding partner. He retired from driving in March 2021 when his health wouldn’t allow him to continue driving and passed away shortly after that. Bob was a good and generous man. He enjoyed sitting, drinking and eating with his wife and friends, especially on Sunday’s. He helped a lot of his friends in any way that he could when they were in need.

He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Dale, her 2 children as well as his 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 1 brother.
