The family of MSgt Colt Henry Schermer, 38, and the US Marine Corps have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for his funeral service and military honors, we are honored to do so.
MSgt Colt Schermer enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in the year 2000 at the age of 18, he was a very devoted and loyal Marine and as his skills were recognized, he rose quickly through the ranks. He received HALO training, dive training, sniper training, parachute training and was accepted into the Elite Special Ops. He served many deployments in the Global War On Terror in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He also was a sniper instructor, and a highly decorated Marine. At the time of his passing MSgt Schermer had served over 20 years in the Corps proudly.
MSgt Schermer is survived by his fiancee Jennifer Bywaters, his daughter Brielle, his father Mark, his mother Florencia, brothers Troy and Brett and many other family members and friends, and of course his fellow Marines. He was a great man, loved and respected by all who knew him and will never be forgotten.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
