!! UPDATE - TIMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED IN THE UPDATED TIME TABLE BELOW !!The family of Robert J. Fernan has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to Honor this American Hero. It will be our privilege to do so.
Robert was born in 1974 to William and Susan Fernan. He also had a brother named Ryan who they were best buds to each other.
Upon completion of High School and College Robert joined the United States Marines on August 5, 1991, and proudly served until August 9, 1998. Robert obtained his Honorable Discharge at the rank of Corporal. Robert earned a Marksman Badge for Outstanding score on the range.
Once a civilian he set out to make the world a better place for both his family and the friends that he loved so much.
Robert obtained a job as an Engineer at Solvay Cytec as a site Manager taking care of everything from orders for Airplanes and Cars to shipping and Manufacturing of light weight material for the future.
Roberts hobbies of which there were many included Hunting, camping, target shooting, training his dogs, volunteering at the VA for Memorial day BBQ's. When he was relaxing he loved to ride his bike along the beach with Family and Friends. Watch his Nieces and Nephews in all their sports activities, and watching John Wayne movies.
His special time was gardening with his Grampa and talking with his Mom and Dad on the phone in Pennsylvania.
And never to forget Happy Hour with his friends and co workers.
Robert passed on March 22, 2021 and was cremated. Because it was such a hard time for the family and because of Covid they waited until everyone was ready to say good bye...
The Patriot Guard will be there to help them thru this hard day.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
