The family of Bobby Gene Davis has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so. This will be a Flag Line Only (FLO) at RNC.

Bobby was born Nov 5, 1930 and passed Aug 6, 2021. He was 90 years young when he passed.

Bobby served in the U.S. Navy from May 1951 through May 1955. His rank was Machinist Mate Third Class at the time of his honorable discharge from military service. Along with regular citations, Bobby served during the Korean War where he was a member of a Rescue Team that rescued combat soldiers from drowning while fighting on the ships during the war.

As a civilian, Bobby owned a tire shop and loved to work on cars. He would fix any car he could get his hands on. He loved to play golf, fish, camp, and spend time with his family.

Bobby is survived by his two daughters, two sons-in-law, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Mister Davis is the Great Grandfather of one of our Veterans Without Family members Abeegail Meyers. She is the point of contact and has reached out to us for support. Pastor Clifford L. Mansker Sr. from VWF has stepped-up to assist with the service.

The Desert Lawn Funeral Home has confirmed the request for Military Honors and Flag for our hero as he makes his way to his final resting place. We will meet the family at the staging area at RNC.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. Please respect the rules of the cemetery as we are guests at the Riverside National Cemetery.

NOTE: Observe the latest COVID-19 restrictions as they apply.  Please have a mask/face covering should the need arise.

Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
