The Los Angeles Police Department and the family of Sgt II Timothy G. Anderson, invite the Patriot Guard Riders to provide a flag line in honor of their Hero.

Tim was born on 25 AUG 44, in San Francisco, CA.  In 2016 Tim was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Sadly, on 30 AUG 21 Tim succumbed to his illness.

During Tim's lengthy public service career he served 28 years with the Los Angeles Police Department as an officer and supervisor, including 16 years in Metropolitan Division, Special Weapons and Tactical Team (SWAT) and a Tactical Operation Supervisor with the K-9 platoon. Tim's other assignments included Anti-Terrorists Division; Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums (CRASH) and many others. Tim received the Police Medal for bravery under fire.
Sergeant II Tim Anderson retired from the Los Angeles Police Department 30 JAN 20.

Tim also was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Marines Corps Reserves for over 30 years. During that time he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Legion of Merit while serving in Vietnam. Additionally, Colonel Anderson completed tours as the Commanding Officer of two separate Battalions; G-3 (Operations) 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade and Chief of Staff, Reserve Marine Air Ground Task Force Pacific, and Chief of the Rear Operations Group (RAOG) First Marine Expeditionary Force. Colonel Tim Anderson retired from the Marine Corps in 1997.

Tim is survived by his wife, Colleen; daughters, Susan and Kristen and three grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  All Patriot Guard Riders are welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in their car.  If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed by the Ride Captain (R/C).  Dress for motorcycle riding or casually if you are in a car (cage).  For the sanctity of the mission and out of respect for the hero and family, no shorts or other inappropriate attire.
