We have been invited by the family of David Esquivel, 68, to be present as he receives his
military honors, we are privileged to do so.

David Esquivel proudly served in the US Army from June 30, 1972 to June 28, 1974 as a MIM-72 Chaparral Crewman.  A MIM-72 Chaparral is an American self-propelled surface-to-air missile system based on the AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missile system.  For us civilians we know these as SAMs or Surface to Air Missiles.  David trained in Ft. Bliss Texas and achieved the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.  David achieved the rank of SP4/E4 at the time of his Honorable discharge.

After his service to his country David worked for the Corona-Norco school district for 20 years and retired in 2016.  David loved shooting pool, and playing chess.  He also loved watching football and boxing.

David is survived by his lovely wife Norma, son Thomas, sisters Nana, Clona, brothers Danny, Chaparral.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.

NOTE: Please observe the latest “COVID-19” restrictions and have a face covering should the need arise.
