The family of Steven Perez has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero, for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Mr. Perez served his country from March 1945 through October 1946.  He served with the 142nd Ordnance Depot, and was stationed in Yokohama, Japan following the Japanese surrender. . While in Japan he drove a truck to transport Japanese civilians to their posts of duty outside the city, and returned them to their homes in the city in the evening.  He also hauled construction supplies and heavy equipment used in the rebuilding of Tokyo.  Upon his honorable discharge on 10 October 1946, Mr. Perez was a Private First Class.

In his civilian life, Mr. Perez worked as an Operator Engineer until his retirement in 1989.  He enjoyed the horse races, the casinos, and spending time with his family.
