Part 1 of 2 Parts

The family of Officer Richard O. Ramirez, age 40, has invited the PGR to assist in accompanying him as he is returned home to his family, and to honor him at his funeral services.  We are privileged to do so.

Officer Richard Octavio Ramirez was a double Hero, having served in the US Marine Corps and in Law Enforcement.

Richard served in the Marine Corps from 2000 to 2005 when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. His time served included deployments in Afghanistan.

In January, 2018 Richard went to work for the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Enforcement and Compliance Division (ECD) as a Police Officer.  He was employed in this capacity until his unexpected passing due to COVID on 05 Sept 2021.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Cindy Muro Ramirez, Children Layla 13, Richie 8, and Dominic 7, and many other family members, friends and co-workers at the Department. He will be dearly missed by all and never forgotten.
