The family of LCDR Theodore W. Ramsdell has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service. It will be our privilege to do so.

Theodore W. Ramsdell, 61, served his country in the United States Navy for 16 years. Time spent between active duty and in the reserves. He completed a total of 16 years before he eventually retired as a LCDR in 1996.

Theodore performed several duties during his tenure in the Navy, he was a pilot on A6 Intruders in Pensacola, FL. Completing 20 missions, next he was the Intelligence Officer at Naval Ocean Processing Facility, Dam Neck, VA, and lastly, he served as the Intelligence Officer onboard USS Ranger (CV-61), San Diego, CA

After his military service, Ted worked for Boeing Aerospace Division here in San Diego for 20 years. The next chapter in Ted’s life found him moving to northern California and working for nine years with British Aerospace Engineering. Ted loved California, the Pacific Coast Highway, and the Redwoods where he enjoyed riding his Harley with Sons of California on many road trips. He was also very passionate about sports, outer space, and his family ancestry.

Ted is survived by his sisters Cynthia Ramsdell Bosaw and Patricia Ramsdell, daughter Hallie Ramsdell and his step son Kevin ORourke.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
