The family of Thomas Maynard has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in their hero’s journey to his final resting place at Riverside National Cemetery. We are honored to fulfill this request.

Thomas was born on May 10, 1966 and passed on September 17, 2021 at the age of 55. He enlisted in the US Navy on April 13, 1987 and was honorably discharged on February 19, 1995. Thomas served honorably in the Gulf War on an aircraft carrier loading ordinance onto war planes.

After leaving the military, Thomas worked as a meat cutter for various grocery chain stores. His hobbies included fishing and enjoying music.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Cynthia Louise Maynard and two sons, Thomas and Timothy.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero from the mortuary to Riverside National Cemetery.  Please see the timetable below if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.
