Please accept our sincere gratitude and appreciation for escorting my husband, Capt. Jamie Nicholson, from Bakersfield to San Diego for his final burial at the Miramar National Cemetery. His mother, Lilli, and I were amazed at how professional, respectful, and honorable each stop was where we changed Patriot Guard Riders and were greeted with salutes, The American Flags and Marine Corps Flags . Everyone treated us with such love and support making this difficult experience one that will never be forgotten. Lilli commented during the escort that it felt like “her son was being treated like the President”! We felt the honor and respect you showed my husband, my son’s father, and her son! I know Jamie was smiling down and was honored to be escorted by your remarkable organization. He was a true Patriot, rebuilt, rode and loved motorcycles. We also want you all to know that the gentlemen that stood guard over my husband’s body will never know how much that meant to me! I felt comfortable going to my hotel knowing that his body was in good hands and Patriots were standing guard. May God richly bless each of you and your organization for the love, honor and support you show to our Service Members and their families.

Our Love,
Elissa and Dylan Nicholson
