The Family of Larry Paul Garcia has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to Honor their Hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Larry was born on April 06, 1961, in Glendale, CA to Mariano and Lydia Garcia. He attended high school at Abraham Lincoln High school in Los Angeles, CA. After graduation, Larry enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 18 where he was given an honorable discharge and eventually enlisted for a few years in the army reserves. Larry was also a very proud member of the V.F.W.
In 1985 Larry started working for the city of Los Angeles as a detention officer. Later in 1990, Larry decided to become a Police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department, eventually transferring to Hollenback division where he retired after 30 years of service.
Larry had a passion for classic cars and motorcycles. He was an active member of the East Side Bombs Car Club. Larry had a talent for looking at an object, whether that was a classic car or an old house and was able to use his ideas to breathe new life into that object. With passion and creativity, he was able to make his custom visions a reality. Larry was the kind of man who would sit down with you to be a listening ear or to share a story and a good laugh. He was known for his lovable personality, his handsome smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Larry is survived by his three children, Larry Paul Garcia Jr., Cinthia Monique Garcia, Janine Paulette Arellano, his mother Lydia Garcia, sister Lorraine Sanchez, brother Richard Garcia, and four beautiful grandchildren, Jaeden, Skyla, Larry 3, and Cinthia.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
