We have been invited by the family of Frank Pearson, 69, to be present as he receives his military honors.  We are privileged to do so.

Frank served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from December 1970 to August 1974 and was an Airman 1st Class at the end of his Honorable Service.

After his military service Frank, became a teacher and taught at RCC and was a state employee for 30 years before retirement.  Frank also had a passion for soccer and was an American Youth Soccer Organization coach and a referee for many years.  Frank loved motorcycles and honoring his fellow Brothers and Sisters in the military, which led him to join the Patriot Guard Riders.  Frank loved hearing the roar of motorcycle engines so his daughter, Tracy, put out an open invitation on Facebook for riders to join us in honoring her father and our PGR Brother.  Frank also enjoyed the cowboy lifestyle and got into quickdraw shooting.

Frank is survived by his spouse Kathy Sue Pearson and sister, Vickie Falcone.  Frank is also survived and will be remembered by his son and daughter.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, this is a flag line only (FLO) mission at Riverside National Cemetery. For those who would like to participate, please see the timetable and we will meet you there.

Do not follow where the path may lead...Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. - Courage

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
