The family of LCDR Daniel Eugene Lambson has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service. It will be our privilege to do so.

Daniel Lambson, 85, served his country in the United States Navy for 25 years. Time spent serving in Vietnam. Dan’s passing is sadly due to cancer caused by agent orange.

Born in Toole, Utah he was adopted at birth by Eugene & Frances Lambson who he lost at an early age. At the age of 18 he decided on a career in the Navy, rising swiftly from seaman to Lieutenant Commander. He became a part of the nuclear program in 1959. Dan was all Navy. He served on 5 submarines, 4 surface ships including the USS Midway (CV-41) and his last surface ship was the USS Blueridge (LCC-19). He volunteered for a year in Vietnam in 1966. He retired from the Navy, after serving 25 years, in 1979. Dan then went to work as a director of engineering at Pomerado Hospital where he worked for 18 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW and the American Legion. He helped deliver food to the mission and several other charitable organizations.

Dan accomplished a great deal in life but those closest to him will tell you that his biggest joy was the relationships he formed with his family and friends. He met his wife Linda in 1957 and their 64 years together were filled with love, laughter, adventure, travel and an unbreakable bond. His love of family and God always came first. He always had his rosary nearby.

Preceded in death by their oldest son Michael, Dan is survived by his loving wife Linda, son Jeffrey and daughter in law Deborah, grandchildren Danielle Martin (Robert), Stephanie Whatley (Jake), great-grandchildren Hanna, twins Grace & Abby, all of whom he loved deeply.
