  • Harley riding grandma who loves Jesus!
The family of Frisco (Chris) Delaney, 69, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the military honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.  It will be our honor to do so.

Chris served in the United States Air Force from June 1972 to December 1977. He reached the rank of Staff Sergeant prior to his honorable discharge and also served in the reserved for four years. In his postmilitary years, Chris served as an evangelist who traveled all over the world spreading the Word of God. He would go downtown Portland to help the homeless by taking backpacks filled things they needed and share the Word of God to give them hope. He was part of the Jesus movement when Chuck Smith was baptizing hundreds of people at Pirates Cove.  He eventually got his Master's Degree and became a counselor helping men with drug and alcohol issues. He also worked in a hospital as a Chaplain with people struggling with cancer and illnesses that were life-threatening.

Chris is survived by his wife of 36 years, Celeste, as well as one son, two daughters, and five grandchildren.  He is also survived by one sister and three brothers.

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance through the rain.”

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
