The family of CPO Thomas (Tommy) Jefferson Forsythe has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero for his service to his country.   It will be our privilege to do so.

Chief Petty Officer Thomas Forsythe, 65, served his country in the United States Navy as Chief Operations Specialist for 21 years. Thomas was a Cruise Missile Instructor, Air Intercept Controller and Engagement Planning Operator. He was stationed all over the world and 13 yrs on ships in his 21 yrs in the Navy.

After his retirement from the military, Tommy worked for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired in 2019 . Always smiling and laughing, he was known for his kindness and buying lottery tickets. He had a passion for helping people and would help anyone in a heartbeat. This was evident in his everyday life where he volunteered as a chaplain and survivors benefits officer at the American Legion Post 364 assisting veterans and their families prepare the paperwork to receive their benefits.

He was a loving son, husband, grandfather, brother, friend and will be missed dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas, and his mother Eva. He is survived by his wife Debbie, daughter Cindy, his one and only grandchild Joseph, who, according to his words, was the bright spark in his heart and best part of his life, brother Theodore (wife Kim), sisters Terry (husband Ross) Weber, Tammy (husband Larry) Woodworth, Tina (husband Clay) Newsome and several aunts, one uncle, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
