!!! UPDATE - TIME CHANGE SEE NEW TIMES BELOW !!!

The family of Police Officer Lanell Whitfield and the Whittier Police Department invites the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his funeral services. As it is an honor to do so, we accept this invitation.

Officer Whitfield lived in Lynwood, CA., so he could help his grandmother with chores and maintenance.

After high school, Lanell graduated from the University of La Verne. He served as a Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy for two years and in October 2021 he joined the Whittier Police Department.

On 04 JUN 22, Lanell was riding his motorcycle home from the repair shop and was involved in a traffic accident. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries.

Lanell was a bright and kind young man, full of energy and the desire to help others. In his short time in the Whittier Police Department, he developed a strong bond with his fellow officers and the community he enjoyed serving each day, a testament to his character, commitment, and friendly personality.

Officer Whitfield is survived by his parents, three sisters, three brothers, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Note: This notice is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this law enforcement veteran. For those interested all PGR members are welcome.
