The family of Harrison Cole Sr. has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.
Harrison was born in Marengo, Alabama, on 13 October 1936.
Harrison was in the Army from August 1955 to September 1957. His duty stations included Battery C, 1st HOW Battalion, 3rd Artillery Regiment, and a tour of duty in Germany. Harrison was honorably discharged as a Private First Class from Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
Harrison worked in Los Angeles for a while, commuting a hundred miles daily to and from, sometimes arriving back at dusk. He also worked at Certain-Teed Pipe Company for twenty-five plus years, about one and a half miles from home. Working alternating shifts, he adjusted his time for the family.
Harrison loved fishing (lake and deep sea), working on cars, playing cards (bidwiz/spades), or dominoes at Fairmont Park with his friends. Included in his favorite pastimes were family road trips (Mississippi), listening to eight-track or cassette tapes until they wore out. Harrison coached youth baseball and participated in Boy/Girl Scouts when his children were involved.
Harrison is survived by his six children, Harrison Jr., Sandra, Ethel, Gwendolyn, Angela, and Roberta. He also leaves behind his brothers John, Claude, and Edward, his sisters Etta, Helen, and Dean, twenty grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
