The Family of Ernest T. Gonzales has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to Honor their Hero for his service to his country. It will be our Honor and Privilege to do so.
Ernest passed away in his sleep, next to his wife of 68 years
Ernest served in the US Marine Corp between April 1949- April 1951 attaining the rank of Corporal. He served in Korea, receiving a Purple Heart. He belonged to the "Chosin Few" Marines, Chosin Reservoir and Battle of Tok Tong pass, Fox Company 2nd battalion 7th marines.
He worked for Sears and Roebuck in East Los Angeles for 39 years before he retired.
He earned a certificate in electronics from East Los Angeles College
He enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, camping, and taking his family on trips and adventures. He enjoyed watching baseball and football and would regularly listen to talk radio to stay up to date on the news and sports.
He was a devout Catholic and was very reverent of our blessed mother. He was a member of St. Louis of France parish for over 65 years.
He survived by his loving and devoted wife Carmen Gonzalez, his five children; Clara, Edward, Cecilia, Cynthia, and Eugene. As well 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren who admired, adored, and loved him greatly.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there, by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
