Part 2 of 2 Parts

The family of 1LT Mark D. Shimazu, age 35, and the US Army, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their Hero from the mortuary to the cemetery, we will be honored to do so.

1LT Mark Shimazu was serving with the US Army at Ft Lewis, Washington at the time of his passing.  He was a proud member of 8th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, also known as First Regiment of Dragoons.  He had served many years in the Army and had served several deployments.

In addition to being a military man, Mark was also a musician who performed professionally whenever he could.  His primary instrument was the timpani.  He also loved to cook and was very good at it.

1LT Shimazu is survived by many family members, friends and his fellow Soldiers.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and never forgotten.
