The family of TEMSGEN BERHANU, CORPORAL, United States Marine Corps Veteran, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their HERO to Los Angeles International Airport where he will begin his final journey home to Alexandria, Virginia on WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 30, 2022.  We are Honored to accompany CORPORAL BERHANU.

Temsgen was born in Ethiopia on June 13, 1989, to Father Lima and Mother Teshome Berhanu.  The family moved to Alexandria, Virginia around 2007.

Following High School Temsgen enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Transportation field in January of 2010.  He achieved the rank of Corporal and deployed several times to Afghanistan during his 7 years of service to our Nation.  He was Honorably Discharged 30 June 2017 and began working as a Security Officer at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

At one point he decided to journey across the United States to Las Vegas, Nevada where he lived for several years before moving to California.  His fresh start in California led him seeing our lands from behind the wheel of a big rig transporting freight back and forth to various locations across the country.

Due to health complications, he sadly lost his life on November 15, 2022.

A service honoring the life of Corporal Temsgen Berhanu will be held in Quantico, Virginia on December 5, 2022 at the National Cemetery at Quantico, where he will rest with his brother and sister Marines.

Patriot Guard Riders from Ridgecrest and the Los Angeles area will accompany him from Holland and Lyons Mortuary to Los Angeles International Airport where he will await his flight on Thursday morning to Virginia.  Patriot Guard Riders in Virginia have been invited to further accompany Corporal Berhanu and his family to his final place of rest.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero and his family from the funeral home to the airport.
