The family of John Giammarinaro has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
John Giammarinaro served in the United States Army from Aug. 27, 1968, to Jan.21, 1969. John did a tour in Vietnam that earned him two purple hearts. He served in the 1st ID Infantry and was a Sergeant (E5) when he was honorably discharged. John was very proud of his time in the Army.
Five years ago, John started to have issues with his kidneys and needed a transplant. His wife was a perfect match, and she didn’t hesitate to go straight into surgery. This gave the couple five more years together. John and his wife Sherry had two daughters and several grandchildren.
We will meet at Carl’s Jr. as listed below and then head to the family home. If you would like to just meet the cemetery please meet in the bottom main parking lot near the front doors, we will be guided to the burial site and service by the staff.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from their home to his final resting place approx. 24 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire while driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
