The family of Charles "Chuck" Morris, 87, has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders on the occasion of his Celebration of Life and Final Military Honors. We are proud and honored to attend.

Chuck was born in Chicago on August 31, 1935. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-54.

Our Hero’s service didn’t end there and he has been committed to Veterans causes his whole adult life. Some of his contributions include Operation Gratitude, Habitat for Heroes, President of the Friendly Valley Veterans Club, Banners of Heroes, Co-Commander of the local VFW Post. He was on the Committee that created Veterans Historical Plaza in Newhall. He was responsible for bringing The Vietnam Traveling Wall to Santa Clarita in 2013 and was appropriately named California 38th District Veteran of the Year in 2014 by current State Senator Scott Wilk. The list goes on and on.

His generosity of money and time extended to the SCV Senior Center and to the Boy and Girls Club of SCV.

Following his service Chuck was primarily a car salesman, and a loving, wonderful husband and father.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara, and his daughter Stephanie. He preceded by his Son, Mark, who passed 14 years ago.

We will be joining with local and state officials past and present in honoring this true hometown hero.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero.
