The family of Joseph Kenneth Jackson, age 94, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

After completing three years at Georgia Tech University for engineering and physics he joined the Air Force. Joseph proudly served in the US Air Force 1951 to 1955 achieving the rank of S/Sgt. In the Air Force he was an engine mechanic and technical engineer and served during the Korean War.

After honorably serving his country Joseph got started working in his life long passion of radio and sound engineering. Joe’s grandfather, Flavious Onderdonk, built the first radio in the state of Alabama and started Joe’s passion in radio. Joe started as a disc jockey in a local radio station in Birmingham and eventually became the manager of the whole station due to his extensive engineering skills.

Joe later moved to the Denver, Colorado area where he spent a majority of his life.  In 1971 he opened his own company, “Jackson Sound Productions”. Joe started the company with only a few employees with a small recording studio where he recorded records and tapes.  Over the years he grew this to a large production with over 100 employees and a mass scale audio tape reproduction enterprise including a professional recording studio.  He even had some famous artists record in his studio that he never liked to brag about.  Joe loved the Rocky Mountains and spent much of his time there.

In 2000 the family moved to Fallbrook, He passed in his home on January 6, 2023 surrounded by family, his cats he loves, and dog Ginger.  Joe had two sons, Kenneth Jackson and Karl Jackson that are no longer with us.

We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, where you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
