The family of Robert “Bobby” Rincon Gallardo has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey.

It will be our honor to do so.

Bobby was born on 25 July 1941 in Brawley and entered Eternal Rest on 04 March 2023.

Bobby was raised in East Los Angeles along with his three brothers, Joe (Chito), Pete, Larry, and two sisters, Genevieve (Kate) and Joyce (Sandy), by his parents, Joe and Rosie Gallardo.

Bobby was the uncle of one of our past PGR members, Louie Perez, a regular at our Veterans Without Family on Wednesdays.

In 1964, Bobby was called upon, fought for, and honorably served in the U.S. Army for three tours in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class.

He was a proud American Veteran.

After the Military, Bobby spent most of his life as a truck driver.

Bobby had no children and is survived by his sister Joyce and countless nieces and nephews.

Bobby was kind, loving, always giggling, and fun. He had a unique way of making everyone feel special. He was loved and will be deeply missed by many.

NOTE: This mission posting will facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will accompany the Hero and his family from the family residence to his final resting place. Please see the timetable if you would like to participate. We will meet you there for those who would instead go directly to the Cemetery.

NOTE: Please observe the latest "COVID-19" restrictions.

I ride in honor of Butch Nichols and Vern Grimshaw, American Patriots.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to participate in your car. If this is your first mission, go to the initial staging area, and you will be briefed by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or wear casual attire if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just those we honor.
