This is Part 2 of a 2-Part Mission
United States Army, Sgt. Isaac John Gayo, 27, of Los Angeles, California was brought home on Monday, April 17, 2023 and will be laid to rest on 21 April.
Sgt. Gayo was one of the nine soldiers - part of the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army who died in a helicopter crash near Fort Campbell in Kentucky with 8 of his fellow soldiers.
Sgt. Isaac John Gayo, was born in the Philippines and enlisted in the U.S. Army from L.A. in 2019. He attended basic training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and then advanced individual training in Fort Eustis, Virginia. His awards and decorations include the U.S. Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He had been studying to get into flight school and learned that he got it about a week before the accident.
