The family of Arturo Ramos Aquino has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Art proudly served in the Navy 1960 – 1990 achieving the rank of CPO E7. Art began his career as a supply clerk in Vietnam. As his story goes someone came in asked if he could shoot next thing he knew he was a gun man on a Red Cross Helicopter. He did 3 tours in Vietnam 64-65, 65-66, 66-67. He was then on submarines Gudgeon SS-567, Blueback SS-581, Guitarro SSN665, Thomas Jefferson SSBN-618, Attack Transport Ship Bayfield APA-33, and the guided missle destroyer Preble DDH-46. Art spent most of his time as a cook Chef, Kitchen Manager. He also taught food sanitation training.
Medals
Armed forces Expeditionary Medal (Cuban), National Defence Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation (Civil Actions Medal first Class with Palm), Good conduct medals, Navy Expeditionary Medal.
Civilian career: Art went to the Culinary Institute of America in San Francisco. He became a Chef.
Before that, he worked at Red Rock country club as a Patissier Chef preparing fine pastry and desserts.
Caesars Palace baking and managing cold food prep and all appetizers. He was especially proud of working at the regent of Las Vegas five star restaurant creating fine pastries and baked product for celebrities, banquets and the Safari Park where he volunteered every other day.
Art is survived by his wife; Rose Aquino, daughter; Lynn Joy Aquino, also Wayne Allen Sullivan, Lawrence Virgil Sullivan, Step Children; Dana Rose Sullivan and 5 Grand chidren.
The family is requesting an accompaniment from the mortuary to the cemetery.
We have lost one of our own. Art was a loyal Patriot Guard Member that was loved by all. He will be greatly missed by all.

Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we honor.
