The family of Mario Alberto Salomon, 78, and our friends at Risher Mortuary, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his Military Honors as he makes his final journey.  We are privileged to honor their request.

Mario proudly served his country in the United States Army from 2/19/1969 - 5/10/1973. At the time of his separation from the Army, his rank was a Specialist 4 Technician. Mario was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal,  & 2 Overseas Service Bars.

After Mario's military service, he worked with his twin brother as a Supervisor for an Upholstery shop for over 5 years. In addition, Mario & Jose worked on many events to improve the lives of those who have served our country, which includes working with their Alumni members from Garfield High School,  "G.H.S. Vietnam Era Monument Assoc."  Mario was a Board Member since 2015.  This Alumni group fundraised to have a Vietnam monument placed on the grounds of the high school in honor of those who served in that era and most recently they have included Iraq, Afghanistan, Korean War and WWII. If there was a fellow Veteran in need, the Saloman brothers were there to extend a hand.

Mario is survived by his loving wife Martha, their children, Marlene, Mario Jr., Brian and Aileen and 5 grandchildren. Mario also leaves behind his twin brother Jose Salomon.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this military veteran.
