The family of Joseph Chavez Arroyo has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Army, July 1966 to July 1969 achieving the rank of Specialist 4. He was assigned to the 1st Infantry Division and it was officially nicknamed “The Big Red One”. It was the first division to be deployed in Vietnam largely because it was the most prepared for combat.
Joseph was decorated with 6 different commendations due to his heroic efforts in combat.
Joseph is survived by his sister; Carmen Rafferty-Hanlett
