The family of Neal Eugene Draime, 87, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Neal served in the Navy from 1954 to 1974. He started as enlisted and after some time got his commission and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. Neal enlisted during the Korean War and then went to Vietnam. Neal received the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry Cross), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Good Conduct, 4 National Defense & 2 Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals.

After his military service with the Navy, Neal worked as a contract instructor in Saudi Arabia on how to service and repair jet engines. He loved sport fishing, working on his car when he could, and collecting rare stamps and coins. Neal was fighting Agent Orange for the last few years, and sadly it took his life at 87 years old. He will be missed by many.

Neal is survived by his wife Charlotte, daughter Tracy, step-children and many grandchildren. Neal was the grandfather to Phil Hersey's (the PGR Ride Captain for this mission) daughter-in-law.  As family and a PGR Member, he would like to see this mission go smoothly for Neal's wife and family.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero and his family to the cemetery, approx xx miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
