The family of Lawrence Cruz has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to be with them as Lawrence is presented with the Purple Heart he earned while in Vietnam.  It is with pleasure that we wil lattend.

SP/4 Cruz was wounded in Da Nang, South Vietnam in 1970 during a firefight and later evacuated.   Somewhere along the line, the paperwork for this event was lost and SP/4 Cruz was never awarded his Purple Heart.  These many years later, the Army has corrected his official file and has awarded him the Medal he deserves.

The Purple Heart will officially be presented to SP/4 Lawrence Cruze at a ceremony at the Lake Park Mobile Home Park Recreation Center in Yorba Linda.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, please see the timetable and we will meet you there.
