The family of Kenneth Mathew "Kenrod" Peterson has asked to have a Pony Express to bring his ashes back from Colorado Springs, CO to San Diego CA for MIlitary Honors at MNC. As his Best Friend and Brother for over 32 years, it would be my honor to give Kenrod his last ride home. His other brother and best friend of 42 years, John Grimes, will be on this journey with us. John is a PGR member in Arizona. It will be an honor to do this for Kenrods sister and family.
Kenrod served in the Navy from 1979 to 1986 as an Aviation Electrician on F14's, after the Navy he left as an AE3 and worked for PSA and United Airlines for 20 years. Then for 10years he worked on the engineering side of aviation rewiring old Navy aircraft. For the last 18 years he worked at North Island in the Airwing Shop rebuilding F18's. Kenrod retired to Colorado Springs where he passed on. Before he passed he asked for me to bring him home to San Diego for Military Honors and take him out to sea for his final resting place.
Kenrod is survived by his sister, her husband and 2 nephews. Kenrod loved football and playing guitar with his friends. He grew up in New York and after high school he joined the Navy and came to San Diego.
This is a ride-along to accompany Phil and his brother, Kenrod, from Colorado back to California where his ashes will be scattered at sea.
