This is Part 1 of a 2 Part Mission

TIMETABLE CHANGE!!!

The United States Air Force and the family of MAJ. Luke A. Unrath have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be with them as their hero is brought home.

MAJ Unrath was a member of the crew of the CV-22 Osprey that crashed off the coast of Yakushima Island, Japan.  During his service in the Air Force, MAJ Unrath received the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air and Space Commendation Medal, Air and Space Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

MAJ Unrath is survived by his wife Brooke Unrath, parents Gregg and Nora Unrath, brother Scott Unrath, and sisters Ashley Pasqualetti and Carly Ewing.

NOTE: This mission posting facilitates your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. We will be accompanying the family and our hero from the airport to the mortuary.  For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, please see the timetable if you would like to participate.  If you wish to go directly to the mortuary, please plan to arriver there Not Later Than 1200hrs (noon).

NOTE: This mission includes aircraft arrival.  Schedules are subject to change or delay.  Please check this thread before heading to the airport.

1615 - ETA arrival and Flag Line for dignified transfer from the coach to the facility.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.

Remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent with honor and respect for our Heroes—no talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service.
